April's Affirmational Quote
Sometimes I need to tell myself, "It just is what it is," then redirect my thoughts and move on. Carol Bettino, MA, LPC
I say, I have to accept things the way they are because the only thing that I can change is myself." I can change my direction, I can change my attitude, I can change how I see the world, but I can change how the world sees me, nor the direction others are taking, nor their attitude, but I can choose to not participate in their battles to do so.
"it is what it is" is my mantra, i apply it to everything in my life. the good, the bad, the ugly and the mundane. like right now, i've got things going on some good, most bad and all i can do is look at it and say "it is what it is" and redirect.
I just read this today, but at the end of March I started saying to myself, "It is what it is". So when I saw this today I had to laugh. We think a like. I had surgery in April and this saying really helped me through it all. God is good and is continuing to heal me completely.
